griechisch Dorylaion, lateinisch Dorylaeum, alte Stadt in Kleinasien (Phrygien), am Fluss Tymbres (Porsuk), bekannt wegen ihrer (noch heute genutzten) Thermalquellen, lag 3 km nördlich der heutigen türkischen Stadt Eskişehir. Am 1. 7. 1097 erkämpften sich bei Dorylaion die Teilnehmer des 1. Kreuzzuges unter Gottfried von Bouillon und Bohemund I. in einer Schlacht gegen die Seldschuken den Durchzug durch Kleinasien ins Heilige Land; ein ähnlicher Versuch Konrads III. im 2. Kreuzzug am 26. 10. 1147 misslang.
